For those of you who know a little about and, for those of you who don't, I have been known to do some body and paint work on the side.

A friend and I came to an agreement on me doing his Demon. The timing got pushed back a bit so, I'm trying to get it done before it gets too cold out.

The car is really clean and has all its original sheet metal with a couple small patches here and there but, really solid car to start.

He will be putting a 6.4 Hemi in it when finished. I will attempt to keep pictures on here as I go but, I have never been that good at keeping my threads updated...we shall see if this one is any better..lol
This is the car before..

He stripped it to bare metal and did the couple patches then dropped it off to me.

I have skimmed the passenger side to where it should be ready for a good couple heavy coats of 2k to find what I have missed..lol. I hope to have the other side skimmed by the end of the week.

He is still stripping the doors and he wanted the door hinges painted so he can rebuild them before I hang the doors so, I squirted some paint on them yesterday evening so he could have them back.

Got most of the skimming done. Primered the fenders this morning, I see some spots that need more attention but, that's why ya prime and block. Hopefully get the rest of the shell primed again this week.

That's a solid foundation for sure! Just a question. When you say "skim" "how much" of a skim would you guess? I'm curious because I'm hoping to start on mine before too terribly long.

Filler stays flexible up to a 1/4" thick but, I always try to metal work the spots so it's no thicker than a 1/16".

Well, put some heavy coats of 2k on today. Car looks pretty straight. I see some spots that need attention but, overall looks pretty good. With any luck I may be able to paint the floors and engine compartment this week. We shall see...

That's lookin real good. The lines are really crisp.

Got the engine bay all touched up and primed. I hope to paint the engine bay this Saturday. Next week I will get the floors ready and hopefully paint those next weekend. The weather is changing fast so, the owner is going to take it home for the winter to keep working on other things like, putting on the fuel lines, brake lines etc then, it will come back in the spring to get finished up.

Today I put some color in the engine bay. Hopefully next weekend I will paint the inside and in the trunk.
