Pretty cool. Kelmark was made in Michigan. My dad almost bought one when they first came out. I went to college with one of the owner’s sons.
 
Oh yeah, they "did those" as well as V8 Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedubs back way before the Al Gore invented the internet
 
There was a V8 '66 running around town here for long time. It was out pretty much every day. Think about it, it shouldn't be a reliability thing. SBChebbie and a Glide or a Saginaw? They built a whole mess of them, just not in that particular platform. '66 and '67s were decent looking too.
 
I don't remember how this was done. I want to say the engine had to be reversed rotation, that might be wrong. What did they do "mid engine"? Flop the transaxle around? Gowwad its' been the 70's since I've seen any of that in the magazines LOL
