Ever since I saw these wheel covers on a 69 fastback, I thought I would keep my eyes peeled for a set. Very cool looking and ones you dont see too often. A member on here efreidrich had a set and hooked me up. Got them yesterday and must say that they are in better shape than efriedrich said they were. I thought the finned parts were plastic, but they are steel. These babies are heavy!! Cant wait to get my car back and get the covers on!! Thumbs up to efriedrich:thumblef:

Those are cool caps, I had an NOS set of 4, sold them a few years ago on ebay, made some $ but I miss them, cool find! Those were an option on all the 69 Plymouth models, including the 440 'Cuda. I think these only fit the wider a-body wheels too.

Thanks Keith, yeah you dont see them too often. I still dont know what I am doing with my wheel/tire combo yet, but I liked the look of them so much I figured I would get them.
You mentioned wider wheel?? Can you elaborate??

The wheel covers are deeper, try mounting them on a skinny rim and they won't fir tight or not at all. B & C body cars all had wider rims already, the a-body cars had skinny 14 rims, thus needed the wider 14x5 1/2 rims to run these caps.

10-4 thanks Keith!

Glad your happy they will look great on that convertible. Got any new picks of that bad boy, maybe I missed it but what color are you or did you paint it.

Its going to be orig F8 green. Not quite near the paint stage yet, soon I hope!! Thanks again!!

love the turbine look when I had my mustang 5.0 i wanted the turbine wheels

I thought all the high performance Abody models came with 14x5 1/2 rims? I also thought the deep dish hubcaps required a different outside offset wheel? I like them too... Anyone know for sure that they fit on the standard 5.5" rims?

There were even heavier hubcaps in those days too. I have some Plymouth caps composed of 3 pieces that are extremely heavy. They wont fit my narrow SBP steelies. You could sling them off too in a hard turn. Later models with those heavy wire wheel covers had retainers to keep them with the wheel. Then those often got duct tape wrapped around them to stop the creeking noises which suggests they wanted to come off. LOL
Happy moparing
