? Hole in the bottom of the door

In the bottom of the doors on my 69 2-door dart, there are 2, rectangle slots with a round hole on each side of them, one towards the front, and one towards the back. Does anyone know if these are supposed to be drain holes for moisture, or is there some kind of gasket that pops in here. Thanks for you help.

Those are drains. If they get plugged you will have about a gallon of water sloshing around in there after a carwash or a good rain.
