opinions???? im running a regular dual feed 750 now.. but im going to go a little more compression on the motor, new pistons, 30 over and a 550 or so solid cam to get it all bumped up a little, is this carb too big?
Its overall a pretty mild build, street/strip
440 .30 over
10.5-1 compression
550 solid cam,roller rockers...ect
stock bottem end except new pistons,
msd spark, holley street dominator intake,
alum heads,
3000 stahll, 391 gears ..

I wouldn't use the Dom., stick with a conventional DPer, i would look for an 850dp 4781, or maybe even a 950-HP, your 750dp will still work fine, but i would think a bigger carb would benefit your combo, A Weiand TR & 2 4s would really wake it up.

Had a 1050 Dom on an engine similar to yours and the engine run better with a custom prepped 750 D.P.! It made 1.5 more mph in the 1/4, with the big carb, but the ET was better with the small one.

Yep 750-850 range custom tuned. You will get better air flow and responce with a smller carb.

The Doms are more gear to strip and full throttle driving. A good DP is a great dual purpose carb when setup correctly.

750 is most likely OK, but there is more power it sounds in your combo on the top end. That 850 may be worth about 10hp or so above 5k...

My dad's 70 Mr. Norm's Challenger has a motor that's pretty similar to yours, 440 +.030, flat top 10:1, MP .484 cam, 906 as cast heads, mopar M1 intake, headers and 3" with an 850 holley DP, nothing special still has a choke. It's a stick car with a 3.91 gear, unibody, 40yr old leaf springs and slicks this full wieght car went 13.20's and only tuning needed is driver tuning. I'd go 850 on your motor. Have fun with it.

well rite now its a 750 dual feed. not dp
And i was told it was a 800dp i was getting but when he gave it to me it was a 750 dominator.... so i think im gonna get 750-850 dp... and dial that in.
