I bought a 770 street avenger because the price was right....how will this be on my car?

currently have a 600 cfm vacuum secondary on a ~8.5:1 400 with a .509 purple shaft, torker intake, 1 3/4 TTIs.....3000 stall B&M holeshot, 3.91s with 26" tall tires
also, 30* initial, 55* total at 3000 (due to low CR)

It's gonna work a heck of alot better than that tiny 600. I had a Holley 3310 (750 Vac secondary) on the old 400 that was in my Barracuda.A Very high mile 400. with .474 MP cam, same convertor and gear as you. It worked great, 13.7 @97 mph. This is a pic of the 400 here .....

What makes the Street Avenger unique when compared to a standard 4150/4160? I notice they provide the quick change cover for the secondary spring but that's only an $8 part to add to an exisiting carb.

Seems like there is a pretty big price differnence between the 4150/4160 carbs and the Avenger

the 750 cfm 4160 that is closest to the street avenger is $270
the quick change housing is $12
the secondary metering block to replace the 4160 plate is $38
i don't know what else the street avenger has, but that totals $320, and the work is already done, and i paid just a hair more than that.

That's cool I was just wondering if there were other real differences. They cfm ratings are all a little higher than the normal 600, 650, 750 breaks that are typical.

I guess if you are looking for the biggest bang for the buck you can get a750cfm Edlebrock Performer carb that is a factory reconditioned unit from JEGS for $199.

i actually should have shopped around a bit more, because i just found the same carb for $30 less somewhere else....oh well....win some/lose some.

I really want something like a demon, but am too cheap to come off the money for it.

hopefully, the 770 cfm will speed up my strip times considerably
