wanted to match my steering wheel to my newly veneered console and dash, so first I lightly brushed a coat of maple gel stain on a black wheel. next a light coat of chocolate acrylic over the maple. once dry I scribbled some wood grain with walnut gel. when the walnut was almost dry I rubbed the wheel with my hands and then clear coated. happy with the results.
