Hood clearance question

75 Dart to recieve a 5.9 magnum.

Do I need to worry about hood clearance if I go with the eddy air gap? Probably a eddy carb as well.

If engine is on stock mounts (Stock Location)

@GTX JOHN is probably right. I have a 69 Barracuda with a 340. I put an Air Gap and a 750 CFM Eddy carb on it. My clearance was close, so I went with a 2" or 2.5" tall (I really don't remember) K&N filter. The guy at K&N told me that it would outflow the 3" paper element. Everything worked fine. The hood did close OK before, but it was very close. The new filter element gave me extra space and extra peace of mind.

I have a 69 dart with a 5.9 magnum and air gap. Clears with a holley and standard unsilenced air cleaner.

You can get it to work pretty easy. Might want a dropped base to give you a bit more room. It also changes the throttle cable/kick down setup. There is an aftermarket taller bracket.
