Do the hinges have any other hardware other than the push lock retainers? Wondering if there is a washer that needs to be on the studs with the push lock washer.

Just posted this for another guy, this is a 73 scamp hinge and is factory with no washers only the locking retainers. the hood holds it from any side movement. looks cheesy but that's how it was made.

Thanks. I got mine all mounted and am trying to adjust it. I got the cowl Gap perfect, just needs to be lower. Trouble is the drivers side gap is considerably wider than passenger.

I hammered the retainers on with no washers as far as they would go on.

I just checked mine for gap and the lower arm has a gap of .025 and the upper is at .035 or more.
My hood works great and good line up, even the new cars have slop in the hinges so I would think that getting them to tight might not be good. My car has never been apart other than the running gear and has been parked inside most of its life so would guess that the hinges are set to factory specks. But I never had to replace a A body hinge so just my guess.

Gotcha. Thanks. I'll work at it some more and maybe I'll loosen em up.

Hope the best for you. Hey plumkrazee I would guess that's what color your car is got some pictures I'm trying to decide what color to paint mine and that was a color I was thinking about.

Sure! I am in the body and paint stage now. It's the later plumcrazy formula in base coat clear coat. PHG, I think. You can also see the difference in the later formula vs the older 70 formula.

Looks good PPG I think. Nice car and rotisserie. would love to see it when your done. Are you going with a tail stripe or any other color?

Thanks. Not PPG actually. It's motobase base and SPI universal clear. The hood is gonna be black up to the ribs along with the twin scoops.

Nice color, hope to see you at a car show someday I grew up in the north west and go there almost every year.

Aweaome. I'm planning on it. With any luck the car will be done by next summer.
Sounds good. Been driving mine and just took it apart about a month ago and figure 2 years to finish it. Body and paint is no problem just getting the money to pay for the material is the hard part.
