Before I re-install my hood latch I needed to clean it up. It was literally coated in a black layer of gritty grease and grime. I dipped it overnight and it cleaned up fantastic. Hard to believe it's the same part.
Now that it's lubricant free and I have a clean slate, what do you recommend I lube it with to keep it operating smoothly but not prone to so much build up?
It looks like the previous owner must have sprayed it with used motor oil on a weekly basis...
