I am thinking of installing the lanyard style hood lock pins on my 67 Barracuda. I know it is not correct and they did not come with them, just wondering if any of you have done it on a pre-70 A-body. The hood on my Comet starts the jitterbug at 85+ mph and the whole hood over the windshield thing makes me nervous.

Thanks Tony, that looks cool and adds to the overall attitude of the car. I am going to do it! Do you happen to remember the vendor and model you worked with?
Thanks----DRO:)

Can you tighten down the hood pins or run the bumpers up? I use pop up springs on the front pins with my fiberglass bolt on hood. Little spring pressure on the underside keeps good pressure on the pins.

-- gottem on a fiberglass hood on a 68 fastback. spread a little farther out than the one in pics, also have 3 on each side. --
-- Good idea, especially if you have A Functional Hood Scoop.

I use Aerocatch and I really like them , no cables . Can be painted to match the car. About $70 a pair.

Hood pins are cool. Run them if you want to.
