I'd like to know how to hook up an expansion tank properly. Some of these tanks have 3 inlet/outlets. Could someone make a simple drawing of whats gettin' plugged in where?

We just ran JAZ coolant recovery tanks on our Circle Track race cars. They have a valve on the bottom to drain them.

I put one on my Barracuda...

The Harrison expansion tank you posted a picture of is a Corvette part.
The 2 large nipples connect (in line) to the heater core inlet hose. Of the 2 small ones on top; the one under the filler cap is an overflow, and the other one connects to a similar nipple that is on top of the radiator as the Vette radiator that uses this tank has no filler cap.

Hope this helps.

i ran the radiator over flow to the bottom of my recovery tank. then a vent at the top of the recovery tank. radiator has a 16 lb cap, recovery tank has no pressure cap. i keep the recovery tank half full. oh, i used a canton racing tank with -6 AN lines i bent up. this setup seems to work for me. as the coolant gets hot it expands and goes into the recovery tank, when it cools down coolant goes back into the radiator.
