When I would go to use my turning signal my horn would honk. Just a light tap would set it off. Same with if I applied any pressure to my steering wheel. Figured I was completing the circuit internally so I used a steering wheel puller to see what was going on. As you can see I came upon a lot of copper dust. The spring wheel over time has worn a groove into the copper of the (conducting wheel?)...not sure what it is called, but I would like to find out so I can purchase one. I ended up discovering the the screw holding the turning signal lever to the switch was what was causing my horn to go off. It also was wearing a groove into the copper. Temporarily I ground down the head of the screw and no more horn drama....for now.
