Hi all, I have a "trailer" that I need moved. From downtown Toronto to the Peterborough area. It is a professionally engineered and built double axle trailer.
Pm if you know of anybody. I'm meeting a mover tomorrow for info/quote.

Hey! Looks like a mighty fine traveling party room. Do you know the dimensions and weight ?? Also how long has it been sitting and what condition are the tires in ? Could it be moved with a dully pickup ?

186" H, 158" W, 342" L. Weight is 5250. Entire "trailer" top to bottom was new in 2013. Dual axle, tires new at the time. Drove 300 miles maybe to moms, Trailer was put in place(downtown toronto) Tires removed, tongue frame unbolted and slid back in. Skirting installed, and tires tucked underneath. The trailer is like new underneath as are tires. It's big for a "trailer" but very doable.
I bet the the rest of tongue is underneath it. If not I'll buy whatever is needed for it.

Looks like the tongue needs an insert installed ? Do you have it ? Is it a pintel hook ?

A couple of concerns are the height and width. Looks like according to your measurements it's 15.5 ft tall. and most bridges other than 400 series highways
are measured in meters and are in the 13 ft height range. The width is 13.5 ft which iirc is a little too wide. I'll have to check that to be sure. Weight is not a problem. A flatdeck car trailer is approximately 1500/2000 lbs plus say a A body car at 3000 lbs and you are at 4500/5000 lbs. Length is approximately 28 ft. Again not a big deal. I think a 1 ton dully diesel pick up truck should be able to get you home pending your route (bridges and overpasses). I'll PM you with contact information.

Yes, permits will be required for sure! Pilot truck etc. Yep no big rig required. Enterprise rents trucks that will pull it no sweat.
We have one company giving us a quote.
I'll contact u in a but.
Thanks!

Just saw this today and thought about your move. West bound 401 and North bound 404. Neither had escorts just wide load markers/signs ??

Thanks Noel! I got a quote back from(I think) the same company in your pics. Very reasonable quote I thought.. I have some things I have to get ready for the move but nothing too drastic.
The trailer I have is 16' high, definitely needs pilot vehicles.
Now I need a piece of land lol

Just saw this and talked to the driver. Said he measured it and it was 4 meters which I believe is 13 ft. Most bridges in Ontario are 4.2 meters less than 14 ft ???

You're gonna need power line hoops and the whole 9 yards. That and a route that has zero underpass'

Yeah the one company gave us an "all in" quote,.except for boarding windows, installing wheels and separating the trailer from the main bldg.
Heres quote breakdown

Trans will cost $3630.00
Route survey for over height load will cost $1100.00
High pole escort for over height load will cost $945.00
Rear pilot escort for over width load will cost $625.00
Permits will cost $600.00
Installing the a-frame tongue will cost $700.00 total before taxes $7600. I thought it was reasonable. Right downtown Toronto to Peterborough.
