How do I identify a formula S 1969

I know a guy who just purchased a 69 barracuda. The guy he purchased it from said it was an S car. There are round S tags on the fenders he says. Where can I find out what this car really is?
Did all S cars come with 383's or could you get whatever motor you wanted?

340s could be had in the 69 S cars. There is an option on the fender tag...anyone chime in on that? Vin should star with BS or BH I believe.

F7 is the fender tag designation for an S model on a 68.

Not sure if 69 is the same or not.

I think someone posted about this before on a 69 and it is an option code on the fender tag?

69 should have A53 on the tag to designate a Fomula S
