so guys im curious to see how fast you slant goes at the 1/8 or 1/4...

please post combo and 1/8 and 1/4 miles time!

68 dart 3200lbs
235ci .080 over
10:1 compression
Lots Of Head Work
.475 lift 246 @ .050 cam
super comp headers and clifford intake
600dp holley

904TF with 3500 stall

8.75 with spooled 4.88's

best of 14.25 @ 91.8mph 1.91 60ft/ 8.98 @ 75.4mph (best time was with the car shooting ducks lol)
 
Stock 170. It doesn't run.
 
Bone stock 1966 Valiant, 170 cu, 11:26 1/8 mile, 3:23 gear with 14'' wheels three on the tree.
If I had about 7lbs of boost I would be in the eights some where.
By all means not a race car. But some info any anyway

I'll get back to you on that. I'll try it in Spring. Here in IL I use US12 to try 0-60 trials. If I'm the first one to a red light, I floor it and since the speed limit is 55, 60 isn't so bad.

It's a 62 Valiant, 225, manual,.....all throttle, no bottle.

My 65 Valiant did 16.01/89mph years ago. 225, Mp268 cam, headers, supersix, 4speed and 2.76 open gears. Hopefully new boosted engine will be quicker :)

1/8 mile times apply here..

My old rookie title /6 car was running 11.84 on a bone stock mill. I started gutting it even further and added..
*Holley 500 2bbl
*Offy intake
Mopar 6x1 header

My own personal tinkered 904 (free tricks).
3.55 gear..

Lost my job, had to sell the car. Went 11.06 the last time I had it out. Stock head/pistons/block.

One of mine from a long time ago.
1971 VG Valiant hardtop with a race weight of 3060lb + me@140lb = 3200lb.
Ran it's best ET in 1983 of 14.0@101mph over the 1/4.

Slant 6 bored 156 thou to give 247 inches.
Head was shaved 125 thou,318 valves,lots of port work,std rockers.
Cam was 311deg adv dur,104deg overlap and 0.495" valve lift.
Alloy timing gear with std morse chain.
Carbs were triple 45DCOE sidedraught webers with 36mm chokes,F16 emulsion tubes and 165 main jets.
Headers 1 5/8" primaries into 3.5" collectors.
Electronic dizzy.

4 speed manual.

Rear was 4.0 open centre with 25" tall tyre.
