I'm going to be putting new Leaf Springs & new rear mounts on my 72 Dart, I was wondering once you unbolt the rear mounts, do they bolt back up easy or do you got to hold the back side some how?

Are you talking new weld on to the axle tube spring pads? This is not for the true layman. Not only do you have to figure width placement. But you have to consider pinion angle and both pads need to be on plane with each other. Then take in to account your either over zealous welding where you build up so much heat that you warp your tubes. Or your lack of proper welding penetration where the axle rips from the pad and twists in the u-bolts. But it can be and is done by home diyer's all the time.
As Clint says. A man has to know his limitations.

I did not brake none so far, but I used lots of wd40 & went a little slow on taking what I have took loose so far!I just put new leaf springs on my 72 Dart about a month ago. If you get the rear mounting bolts out without breaking one or two you're ahead of me. I bought new shackles too. I ended up using a bolt from the back side on the ones I broke off. I couldn't get the broken bolt out so I just drilled two new holes symmetrically to the existing ones on the mount and used the empty holes on the body-frame mount area. There's not much room to get new bolts or nuts in there but if you hold your mouth just right it will work.
Very nice. You ask for help with a question that is not clear (I wasn't quite sure what you meant either), and then you rudely bad mouth someone who questions what you meant. That is NOT how we do things on this forum. When someone says they are not sure what you mean, try being nice.If you read it I said new rear mounts, How hard is that to understand? 1963-1976 All Makes All Models Parts | MN3150 | 1963-76 Mopar A-Body Rear Shackle Hangers - Powder Coated Black | Classic Industries
