how loud is your stock radio

so some wires that go to my radio were disconected by the previoce owner of my 66 valiant so i managed to figer out the wireing and got it to work but its really quite like i was talking to my dad who was right next to me with the engine off i talked over the radio

so my question is how load is your stock radio on a scal of one to ten one beaing really quite ten beaing really load

o and hear is a picture of the stock radio

I remember mine not being very loud until I changed the stock speaker .It got louder but not "booming" loud.I gave it a 4.Did you hook it up to the stock speaker in the dash?It might be rotted .
 
It should be fairly loud. That said if it is a factory radio it will have "Dart"/"Valiant" or "Chrysler" on the dial face. If it only has "All Transistor" or "HI-FI" on it it is most likely a dealer install after market radio-which is just as loud as the factory radio. Very common is the speaker bakes in the sun and is no good now. Radio shack use to have cheap speakers to replace them with. Also very common is no one adjust the "ant trimmer" on the radio which will make for weak reception.
