how many people fit in a scamp?

Heres a simple question for you guys
Ive had my 71 scamp for 15 months now, and for the first time i wondered how many people can legally fit in the car. The licensed to carry number.
Is it 4, 5, or 6?

6.. with a bench seat. It would probably be crowded. How many seat belts are there?

Yeah it has a bench seat. Only two seat belts, one for the driver and one for the front seat. So when the car came out it was advertised to carry 6 people? So i could legally carry 6 people now right?

You think 13 people? I've got a couple of friends, i think ill test that out.

It should have 6 belts. It will say on the tire decal in the glovebox.

Yeah, here's a photo of where the belts are on my rear seat. The end belts connect towards the outside.

my 73 bench seat duster has 3 in front and 3 in back ,sometimes the latches get shoved down behind the rear seat. it looks like three in back to me....

They would be doubled up on the center bolts. I have three in front and three in back in my Dart Sport.

exactly. when i pulled my bench out i had to take all 3 out and seperate them and then bolt just 2 back up for the buckets

Thanks! Hard to believe that the original interior held up this well for 40 years. It had a rip on the front driver seat, but I got it repaired.

It seems like it! I'm pretty sure it was. A lady purchased it new and owned it most of the time.

Forgot about that. If you were stuffing them into my charger you could get a couple in the engine compartment as well!
