How much cam shaft

-
i have a comp cam solid 520/540 cam with factory adjustable rockers, ran for a while with no problems, upgraded to 1.6.

273 or 340 rockers that have a screw at the rear/pushrod side of the rocker. These can be purchased aftermarket as well.

I had a 508 lift, 312 dur. hydraulic cam in a 340 with 10.75-1 comp. and used the stock rockers and shafts. Driven on the street almost everyday and did a lot of street racing. I broke several things but never a problem with the rockers.

The 508 was the biggest hydraulic you could get from Direct Connection, after that they were all solid lifters. I wouldn't try to push the stock ones much over 512-525 even with adjustable rockers.

I'm running the Lunati 60404 .513/.533 lift with stock stamped arms. Have read guys with smaller cams break them but mine have been ok for almost 4000 miles. Alot of it has to do with how much spring pressure your running, not the cam size. My springs are 310 lbs. open at .550"
