How much trans fluid

I've been looking at other posts and stuff and some people say a 727 transmission needs 4 quarts of oil and some people say it needs 9 or 12
There's just a bunch of different answers

Can some one help me out?
It's just a stock 727 mated to a 318:?

Depends if it,s empty.Always check fluid level in neutral.

Have 10-12 quarts handy.

It couldn't be four, thats for sure.
The converter holds that much.

11 quarts with a stock pan.

X2- depends on size converter with/without deep pan & cooler.
