How to disable side airbags on modern seat installs

Hi,
For those of you that have used Cadillac CTS or Volvo, or other modern car seats in your a-body, how did you disable the side airbags in the seats? I assume you would want to, right?

I work for a Dodge dealer, so my experience is mainly with Dodge airbags. The module that ignites the airbag is not in the seat, so you should be OK. If in doubt, you could unplug the wiring to the air bag. Do not go probing wires with a volt/ohm meter. It only takes a 9 volt battery to ignite an airbag...…..and guess what is in a volt/ohm meter !
