ive had this t/c for a few years now, ive had a few rough idle cams in front of it, i could idle engine down to 4 to 500, throw it in gear and tach wouldnt even move. got it going this spring and now idle drops 2 to 300 rpm, even stalls out like low stall factory t/c i had before.question is, can i ''lose my stall''? or am i missing something?

I had a lot of TQs in my day but never really used them on cammed up engines. They didn’t like to idle very well. Put them on something stock and they ran fantastic. Kim

They can be made to work very well with bigger cams but I didn’t have the patience. Kim

At what camsize would you suggest a switch? Ima thinking more than 230@.050 or less than 10inches of idle vacuum.
      Your thoughts?

Mine didn’t like much cam over stock. But I never really played with them as I had lots of AVS and AFB carbs. Kim

Why would anyone change from a good running Holley to a TQ.
Tuning a Carter is not for your average shade tree mechanic. lol
