I'm looking to upgrade my 3-on-the-tree barracuda to the 833 that's sitting in my shed.
I have a floor shift Column already but still need a Throwout Bearing and the Fork
and a Shifter with all the rods.
I have the Ball and Trunion set up.
Let me know if you can help...
Thanks,
-eric

Nice, My first Barracuda was a 64 273 4 speed with the factory Hurst shifter. What do you have for your swap so far? Do you have a bell housing? Do you have the floor tunnel? Shifter mounting plate?

833 and Bell Housing that's it.

The tranny has a factory plate bolted to it.
Does it really need another mounting plate?
I think there are two threaded holes in it
And two flatheads that hold it in place.
I wonder will my 3-speed Clutch be the same
as the Splines on the 4-speed...

If there is a plate bolted to the tail housing you should be good. There should be a Hurst number on the back side, towards the tail housing. Everything clutch should be the same. Sounds like you just need the Hurst shifter and linkage. I'll take some pictures of what I have.

Thank You Soo Much!
Can I also use my Throwout Fork in that 833?

It has this plate on the tail, I couldn't coax it with an Allen Key maybe my impact driver could...

The plate looks good. Careful getting those off. If you round out those internal hex's you will be hating life. If it is tight I would just leave it alone. Should have "Hurst 2298" visible on the back.

So, I have to stay with a 9 1/2" clutch then.
Okay. Thank You.
Now let's see your Pics!

What bell housing casting number do you have? The Brewers Performance clutch, Brewer's Performance - Mopar A833 4-Speed Transmission and Component Specialists, is the most reasonable way to get a good clutch in an early A Bell housing. You can put a later 130 tooth flywheel and bellhousing and then a 10.5 in clutch, but it takes special parts and it can get expensive.

I will post 64-65 shifter and linkage today.

Includes rebuilt shifter, handle, ball, rods, transmission arms, clips, washers, and hardware $450 + $15 for a medium size box.

Oh My! Those Are Gorgeous!! I Want Iwant! What's the difference? The 2nd shifter has limiters (that is cool)
lemme guess, it's not a Vintage part?
Your offers actually sound very fair considering what you have there (if you'll throw in the two shifter mount bolt's! Lol)
Let me show my lady and I'll rereply

The first is an original 64-65 A Body Hurst Shifter and linkage. The second is the same, but the housing is new and it has the stop bolts. The shifter guts are the same, but the reverse lever has been welded/repaired.

Alright, the "repair" doesn't scare me but I like the idea of all-original and I Really like the Black Ball!
Does it have the 1 2 3 4 R Imprinted on it as well?

Bell Housing Cast is 2465523 I don't know what that means... it is correct for my application, Yes?
