Anyone out there with a stock 3 arm clutch and a hydraulic setup, Did you remove your over center spring?
I've got a stock /6 with a 10" clutch and a hydraulic setup and the pedal is a little too easy. If I release it fast it's not a problem but in stop and go traffic where I have to let off easy it like gets "stuck" about middle of the way thu the travel. I have 2 fairly beefy return springs at the clutch fork but I was wondering if removing the over center spring would help. I've also rebuilt the pedal setup before I installed it and it's nice and smooth ( doesn't catch or bind )
OR should I get a HUGE return spring for the clutch?
Thanks
Matt

over center spring is removed on mine,,but i have a diaphram pressure plate,,

all the ones i have seen they take off that spring. i heard you had to. so i would say to. someone will know for sure tho

Thanks for the quick replies, maybe I'll just take the spring out... but I sure don't want to be pulling/putting it back too many times just to test. almost lost a finger putting it on the first time....

ya no joke. i took mine off by extending it as much as you can and putting as many washers in between the coils to keep it extended i dont think there is a easy way at all lol

I've still got the overcenter spring on mine with a 3 arm clutch, no return springs and it works fine.

Longgone, So you use a 3 finger clutch with a hyd setup and no issues?
Longgone/racingsnake440, How does the pedal feel?
Nevermind, I'll just pull the spring....finger crossed ........

Oh no, Just went to remove the spring....took the master cyl pusher off and the pedal moves like glass. the master cylinder is binding/sticky inside, feels like it "creeks" going in and out..oh well at least I found the problem....I seem to remember having alignment issues when I first installed it, must have hurt the cyl bore.
