My pressure plate fingers to the outside of my lakewood scattershield is 3.882". I'm using a A833OD transmission with the 308 bearing retainer that is 4.807" in diameter since that is the opening size of my scattershield. I measured 3.032" from the hydraulic bearing face to the face of the transmission. The difference is 0.849" so for my clearance to be in the spec of .150-.200" I need to use approx a .700" spacer. Now this puts the hydraulic bearing past the end of the bearing retainer shaft. Does someone make bearing retainers with longer than stock shaft lengths? Thanks in advance.

I have a ram hydraulic bearing setup which has different instructions than say american powertrain, I glossed over the instructions as I'd already watched videos on how to the measurement. Well since the Ram method is different my numbers were off, I still have to call them on Monday and ask if I can just measure from the diaphram fingers to the scattershield block saver since I already have the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate mounted and I don't want to remove it to measure from the crank flange to the block per this diagram.

Geez that worksheet reminds me of an IRS tax form!!! What do you think of this setup compared to some others?

I’m not sure it’s going to work with my setup the ram bearing seems nice. I think I’m going to try setting up one of the speedway pull slave cylinders off of the shift fork and see how that works.
