Has any one used pour in additives, for a noisy lifter .Do not want to take intake off if i do not have to, this 340 has air .Thanks alot

I try to Never put anything in a motor exept, oil, antifreezeand builder's lub.
Take your valve cover's off and check for worn rocker's and push rod's.
But do like rumblefish360 said first.
and cheak you timing. hope this help's :)

an old trick i've used is put about a half or a quart of transmission fluid in with the oil and run the motor around five or ten miles pretty hard. if the lifter is stuck it will alot of times free it up and wont cause any damage. if it quits come back and change the oil and back of to the races and if not you may have to pull the lifters. You can change lifters through the holes in the heads, a good design by crysler, just need a long pocket magnet and a long thin screwdriver. if the casting hasn't been ground off the outside edges of the holes you may just be able to use a few on each side. note though it takes alot of patience to do it but if you don't care to try something new and don't want to pull the intake it works. if not the intake pull is easier. a 40w oil will also help if there leaking down sometimes.

forgot all about that 345man.excellent

Like they say on Cartalk, go to the parts store & buy something that says "Miracle" on the bottle..........

I've had some success with Rislone in the past. You could also try GUNK (I think that's the name) Motor Flush, but the name is a bit scary.....

:burnout:
