I was looking around and seen roller lifters for La engines around $160 on eBay and tried looking them up for other people's reviews and didn't really find any. I'm not buying them but thought would be nice to get some info out there for guys looking into them. Does anybody have any experience with them. They where sold by or made by not sure maxspeedingrods.

$160 hydraulic roller lifters? Can you say "grenade"?

You can get a set of Sealed power lifters for about 160. Are they bad quality?

Not sure if I searched wrong or not but never came up with real actual people that had used them, especially for Mopar applications. Alao I do some work in a couple manufacturing plants that make tools and car parts and seems that a bunch of brands are always made in the same place and just have different brand labels attached to them. Plus it always shows on the eBay ads that 40 or 50 already sold so why doesn't any one ever say; yea I got these and they are ok or that hey these are real crap.

The Google search link that Trailbeast posted shows a bunch of results of discussions about them. The third result has someone talking about how the disintegrated after a week.

"Yeah I wanna spend 5K plus dollars on a roller motor......but when I get to the lifters I want as cheap as I can find"

Genius I say.

Johnson makes about 80% of the flat tappet lifters out there. Rebranding...if someone makes a good product, its hard to beat them.

Actually, it's my understanding Morrel makes about 80%. They actually make them for Johnson, if I am not mistaken.

They probably are not good. I just learned the hard way with some junk chinesse PRW rocker arms. But some people seem to think they are good but from what I saw they where not. I sent them back and got some better ones for about twice the price but they where twice as nice. Just strange nobody on this sight has any experience with the lifters. Figured someone would of tried them out just to see.

Flat tappet lifters too? Not bad for a 26 year old upstart. Johnson made GM lifters back in 54.
