I have been reading this site for the past few months while I searched for an A body as a project car. I am happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a 66 Barracuda that needs plenty of TLC.

It is a /6 auto that I plan to bring back to stock condition. The car is in fairly good condition without a lot of rust in the normal problem areas. The floor pans are shot and will need some welding work for sure.

I want to bring this car as close to stock as possible and I want to have fun with it. I want it to be fun to cruise in as well as drive on a daily basis if the need occurs. This will be my first project by myself so I am really looking forward to it.

My first car was a 72 Dart with the /6 that my dad and I fixed up to be "good enough". We rebuilt the engine, front end, and brakes to make it road safe and then we did as much body work as our abilities allowed. We also painted it in the garage which came out surprisingly good. I drove that car for 6 years through high school and college. So now I am back and happy to be here.

Some photos for your enjoyment:

Welcome. Looks like a pretty solid car. You should have a lot of fun doing that one up. Plus they are fun cars to drive.

Welcome Jeff, there's a few fish owners here, so you should be able to get lots of help if needed. Looks good dude!
