I found my AVS on Ebay and won it.

A 4424s for My Formula S. What is the K8. Is that a date code? My car has such an early production date, I just need to be happy with the correct carb number. I’m sure I paid big bucks for it, but it was the last critical part I needed.

The K8 stands for Oct 1968.If you see A8 thats a Jan 1968,it is a production number,Mrmopartech

Is your AVS a 4424s? If so what is the date code. I would like to trade for a pre 11/67 carb.

My carb has A8 4611S on it. I'm guessing Jan '68 just like MrMopartech's example. I'm not a big numbers guy, so someone else can decipher this for you? As for the engine, I think I'll just sell it with my car.I just bought a '65 Belvedere, and the wife says ONES gotta go(was kinda hoping she was the ONE)
