8 on the pinion, 41 on the crown. 5.13 ratio. Looks to be Sheifer gears. Has a spool. I presume this is equivalent to a 742 case. Thanks Max1196. Kim

Huh? What are you getting at Kim?

985 case that's new to me. I have a 657 case with 3.58 gears from a 58 1/2 ton dodge truck.

As 17 year old I ran 5.13's in my daily driver 340 4 speed Duster.
The things we did when we were young.

Locally about 15 years ago we were servicing a Dodge 1 ton dump for Hoover Dam and it had 5.57 dana rear to pull the hill form the bottom of the dam to the top.Automatic to boot.

I'm sorry to have to say the C word. A kid in high school had a Modified production Camaro with 6.17's

89 Fifth Avenue AND 1980 Diplomat. Don't worry, I switched to 3.21

Previous 0-60 was measured with a sundial
I stuck one of those diffs in my 51 pickup, not realizing the gear ratio. It would go 30 mph at idle in first gear with the 265/75 16’s on it. Doubt that 80 hp flat head would pull in 3rd gear.

We took a 170 out of a buddies 67 Valiant because it could not climb a grade. We dropped a 225 in and it did not help much turned out he had a M-body rear end in it at 2:45:1 or a 2.21. Ridiculous!
