i have a seat issue.

hey eveybody, in my 71 duster i have a bench front seat, and on the driver side the bar that stops the seat from going all the back, the on that releast hooks onto tilt it forward has snapped off completly. does anybody have any ideas on how to repair this. I hate laying in my car do drive lol, i'm a short guy so i can see much lol. thanks alot adam

I recently bought a 74 duster. The previous owner fixed a broken rod for the seat catch by drilling it out and using a 3/8" bolt. He nutted it from the inside and outside to hold it in place.

soaringcowman, If you cannot fix your broken seat tracks I have a good pair from a 73 Dart bench seat that I will sell for $25.00 plus shipping.

hey i had the same problem on a 72 dart what i did was go down to the hardware store and bought a long bolt that was the same diameter around on the part of tha bolt that had no threads then i took the bolt home cut the head off of the bolt and the threads off of the bolt only leaving the full part of the bolt left then i stuck in into the hole and welded the remaining part of the bolt to the seat good luck Justin
