So I know it’s not an abody. But this is my go too lol. Taking the lean burn off of my 86 fit have. I’ve put on a brand new 2bbl none electric control ditched the distributor and put in a Chrysler electronic ignition and vacuum adv distributor. It fired right up. Ran for 20-30 seconds like before. Then died. The lines the the smog canister are just plugged on the carb Just to get it started. New cap. Rotor. Plugs. Fuel pump. It’s like something is just shutting it off. Then hard start. Usually won’t start. Any suggestions.

Where are you getting power from to supply the ECU? Souns like you're on a timed relay wire.

Pickup coil in the distributor? Remove the coil wire from the distributor, stick a screwdriver into it and place it near ground. Unplug the 2 pin connector at the distributor and short across the wires (not the wires going into the distributor but the other end of the connector) and you should get a spark from the coil everytime you lift the wires from the connector.. if you do then there's something wrong with the distributor (probably the pickup coil). Hopefully this will help you.

If it ran for 20 or 30 seconds, my guess is the fuel bowl ran dry. Yur first test should be a fuel delivery test; or pop the top and look; or simply pour about 50cc of fresh gas into the bowl thru the bowl-vent, then retest. Speaking of bowl vents, the bowl has to be vented to atmosphere so it can get in there and push the fuel up the fuel wells. Did you, by any chance cap yours?, lol.

Lol. Yes it is vented to atmosphere. It’s driving me crazy
Also took fuel door off. Just in case the tank vent is plugged. But same.
