My 340 Demon has been sitting in my unheated garage for the last 2 months. I decided today would be a good day to start it and let it run for a while. It is -4C and snowing here today. Anyway, I opened the main garage door and then got in the Demon. Without touching the gas pedal I turned the key to the run position to let the fuel pump pressurize the fuel system and then turned the key the rest of the way to start. The engine rolled over about 5 turns and fired right up. It idled a little rough for a couple of seconds and then smoothed out to a high idle. Now keep in mind that this is a 6-71 GM blower car and it takes a little longer for the mixture to get to the cylinders and that is why it rolled over 5 turns. I could never get this car to start like this with carbs. It was always a struggle to start in cold temperatures and would take 5 minutes of playing with the throttle before it would idle. All I can say is the Fitech EFI is great for me.

SAME HERE , I LET THE FUEL PRESSURE BUILD UP AND A FEW SECONDS MORE FOR THE O2 SENSOR, BUT HAVE TO PUMP IT ONCE SINCE I WENT TO THE VICTOR INTAKE, DIDN`T HAVE TO BEFORE THAT. USUALLY ABOUT THREE TURNS/CRANKOVERS------------FAST 2.0

Nope, I haven't had a chance to call anybody yet. It's no big hurry but I sure would have liked to get a response from somebody.

I have the duals on a tr, started it the other day with a flick of the key no problemo after a few months.
I typically turn the key twice when cold.

It will shoot some fuel and prime the system each time, priming twice who cares, an extra shot of fuel helps with the tr.

I never have a high idle, it goes to the set idle, let it warm up, and is immediately drivable.
