I have a 67 dart with a column shift auto. The reverse lights haven't worked since I got the car and now I know why. The tab on the column that operates the switch is missing. I looked under the carpet and it's not there. So, does anyone have a picture with dimensions so I can fab one or perhaps I can buy one from someone?

You are probably missing the "reverse indicator pin" that fits into the column and moves the switch.
Attached is a photo:
On the right is the original pin that eventually broke off.
Notice there is no prongs remaining on the bottom.
On the left was a part that I bought using the part number shown.

My recollection is that I got that part number from a '67 Parts Books at the dealer. For the part itself I called around until I found someone who had one, and that's what I got.

Maybe its not the right part, but it looks close. Maybe its a superceded replacement item.Obviously the extra length would have to be cut down to make it work.

Let us know how you make out. Converting to a later style reverse switch is difficult for most (requires going inside the transmission to change the 'comb').

Trying to remember exactly where I got the part number. My car is a '67, but I can't recall if I got my hands on '67 Parts book for that one or might have used a later book. However I just checked 1968 book and that's the number listed for all models using an automatic with column shift.
p/n 2883 211 and its listed in the steering section 19-46-44 as Pin, steering column gear tube switch, w/ auto transmission column shift.

My 67 Barracuda had the same problem, I fixed it by replacing the broken plastic piece with a suitable machine screw & nut. I had to take the whole steering shaft assy. out to get to it but it works great now and I know it'll never break.

Good to know that's an alternative.
I should mention that I rigged a manual switch to get by for a while. Not what I'd recommend for a permanant fix, but better than nothing.

I know this is an old post but here is some additional info...

The part number 2883 211 is good for searching. Hilltop Auto Parts has some (as of 9/2019 buy they are pricey)

The small dia pin that sticks up on the black one (newer) is a pin that gets pressed in to lock the post to the shaft (other posts have said to cut it off, DON'T DO THAT)

Take care
