I am planning on getting my engine and tranny together this weekend. They are a 360/727 combo.

What I need are the torque settings for the bolts for the flex-plate to crank. The bolts for the flex-plate to convertor and the bolts for the bellhousing to engine.

Can anyone help me out with these?

Jack

Jack-The flexplate to crank bolts are 55 ft. lbs. Do you have 5/16 or 7/16 torque conv to flywheel bolts?

Thanks 66dartman, I'm 1/3 the way there.
I'm not sure. I'm not at home right now to check. It is a TCI piece if that is any help.

Jack- if the tork conv bolts are 5/16 gr. 8 then 15-19 ft lbs. I f 7/16 fine gr. 8 then 55 should do it. i don't torque bell bolts but if they are 3/8 then 30 should work.

Jack, i forgot to mention, but I usually put some blue loctite on flywheel and flexplate bolts just for a little extra insurance.

Point well taken about the loctite. I had the crank bolts back out on a 70 1/2 SS Camaro I used to own. What a mess that made.
