Yeah, I guess some of you will be glad to see me go. But others, especially those who have PM'd me in support of some problems I've had with a certain over zealous Mod might hate to see me go.

But I'm done. I'm tired of the BS and some forking double standard that seems to think videos of fart contests and discussions of someone's BALLS are appropriate for this site.

So I think I'm done. I'll still get my pm's and will check in to the for sale section...but I've had it.

I'll still be on FBBO if anyone wants me there.

I Haven't seen anything that offended me here but then I haven't looked for it.
If you can't control what you click on maybe you should just turn your computer off.
 
Wouldn't get too hasty, the election is over in less than 3 weeks. Lots of good info here and the occasional gut busting laugh, but if you have nothing else to contribute, good luck to ya.
 
Well it's like this. FASTBACK 340 threatens to ban me for saying dumbass trucker (and I wasn't even speaking of ALL truckers) Then HE calls ME a DUMBASS (a personal attack) and calls someone who came to my defense a SMARTASS (also a personal attack) and then BANS that guy.

And somehow "I'm" the one who gets in ****.

I was under the impression personal attacks wouldn't be put up with here. Then for a MOD to do it with apparently no repercussions.....

THAT'S why I'm bent.
 
Havent been here long but u are an icon or so Ive seen, cant u reconsider and stay just to be a pain in the butt? gratification comes in many forms [ i like mine pink-thank u] If u go who wins?

Thin ice or no, what I said needs to be said and read by all. This Mod called me and another member names in the same thread, and even said and I quote:

"See you next week smart-***...."

after he tried to come off all noble warning others about name calling

I'm in for a :drinkers: cold one with ya.........Just chalk it up to FABO politics. Pretty normal behavior in any large company.....the mods and admins must back each other. I'm hoping the other member involved is only suspended and not banned. That would be a bit over the edge IMO from what I read. Heat of the moment thing from all parties involved.....

Like the election stuff......"this too shall pass".

Share a toddy and blow it off. :toothy10: Like what rbdart says.....can't you reconsider and stay just to be a pain in the butt......LOL
 
C'mon man, now I KNOW that our political views don't match nearly AT ALL, and I still don't wanna see ya go. I've seen what you've had to contribute on this board (a-body and political), and this forum would be lessened by your departure. We're all one family here, and families have arguments sometimes. Ya just gotta forgive and forget with your family members and remember that love for A-Bodies is what brings us together here... :happy10:

I agree Memike, they suck, that's why I don't read them! I know some people enjoy them so that is fine, not my cup of tea.



68 Sedan, I have chatted with you in the past, I think you should hang around. I have had the mods on my case before to, (mainly about the nudie pics...:toothy10:) but I didn't let it bother me. This is a great site, and people will have their differences. Maybe just take a break, hope to hear from you soon!

Just an FYI..... There's is an IGNORE feature on this forum. If there is someone you find uninteresting, irritating, or just plain obnoxious, you can put them in stealth mode. This makes life easier for some people. It also cuts down on repeat posts and on-going bickering.

I'm using it right now.... :-D
 
Once again, I think my point has been proven.
The thread where this all started wasn't a political one. It was here in the General Discussion and is locked, but still available for viewing......if he hasn't deleted what was said. And if it has been, I saved it just in case he wanted to try and claim he never called anyone names.

We are all good men here at FABO being hotrodders, mechanics, hard workers and thinking adults.

I did or said nothing to or about him in either the first or now this second case. And I can have no respect for him or his position while he is condescending and hypocritical in as much as he would admonish someone for "name calling", then do the same thing in the same paragraph.

And since the threat of banishment looms for namecalling I can only assume it should also apply to a Mod as well as the rest of us.

IF I had called him a dumbass or a smartass (which I did neither) I could understand the duress I've been placed under. But it was HE who referred to myself and another member by those names.

Can't we all just get along.I have seen some name calling on FABO in the past.I really don't remember who called who what.But most of the time I think it was a little childish.When someone offends me I will let them know without name calling.Then if they resort to name calling. I guess since I can not reach through the computer screen and snatch them up bald headed, I will just have to let it go.
As far as Politics go I think we all can agree it really just a lost cause.As far as I am concerned they are all CROOKS.We just have to figure out who is the lesser evil and cast a vote.
