Hey guys,
Over the many years I have had my car apart, I have lost several things. The Idler arm on my 69 Dart is new, but at some point I must have opened the box and something is missing. I seem to remember a hardened, thick bushing, that went on top and bottom of the idler arm (to center it) where it seats into the K member. I don't have them. Are they indeed just hardened washers/spacers or something else? How thick should they be?
Thanks
Martin

Totally depends on the arm pivot sleeve than came with the arm.
Some had the thick washers and some didn't.
As long as the tube in the arm that the bolt goes through is the same length as the inside of the bracket it would be fine without spacers, but if the tube isn't as long and it allows any up and down movement when the bolt is through it then spacers are required. (preferably the same thickness top and bottom)
Standard steel washers does the trick, as they were never hardened that I ever saw.
The foam dust covers are a good thing for both sides of the end that goes in the K member.
