Ignition upgrade non-mopar

Howdy all. I own a 72 ford country sedan. Only because I've always wanted a wagon and it was 2 miles from home. I would like upgrade the points to electronic. Can somebody recommend a set up for me. It's a 400 and I don't know a lot about factory ford set ups. Thanks

Best bang for the buck is a HEI dist off ebay. Chinese, yes, I have used heaps of them. Prolly made in the same factory as MSD....
The E core coil gives much higher spark energy, allowing 0.060" plug gaps, simple hook up.

You can retrofit factory Ford electronic ignition similar to how tons of people have retrofitted Mopar electronic ignition to Mopars....
And that way you can avoid Chinese crap
Lots of newer 400s came equipped that way.
Besides 400s the 351m would take the same distributor. Rusty rat rod had a mid 70s Ford truck w/a 400 that might be able to guide you
