Never Mind as a woman would tell you. Just ignore it and it will go away.ignore what?
Unless it's kidney-stone, or maybe a STD. I know for a fact, passing a stone is impossible to ignore. I thought I was a pretty tough guy, but one hour was enough for me. Next time I might just hang myself first. Course I'm kidding;who would take care of my wife?Never Mind as a woman would tell you. Just ignore it and it will go away.
Funny you say that my dog was found to have a kidney stone that made us think he was ready to die. He has been on special food for a month now and we are going back on the 1st to see if the special food broke it up. We are in for 600 so far and if he needs surgery that is 1100.Unless it's kidney-stone, or maybe a STD. I know for a fact, passing a stone is impossible to ignore. Interesting. The one the dog has looks like it is a spiked ball as you describe. He said something about testing the calcium level or something and said the test came back in the middle so we are hoping a month of this canned food will deplete it. It says S/D urine treatment on the cans. Dad had one when I was little and was shocked to see how it can take a hard working guy down hard.I didn't get any pain or symptoms until the stone was on it's way from the kidney to the bladder. That stone is a stone in name only. When you see it it actually a little conglomeration of a million tiny needle points, and no two of them point in the same direction. So as it moves along the little tube it's in, it actually spears a million little holes in it. And this goes on for about two to four hours. And of course it's being pushed along by the liquid coming behind it.
I cannot imagine any food that could "break it up", as food doesn't come down that tube. I think it is mostly calcium, so certain acids will dissolve it. 'Course that same acid would dissolve everything else it comes into contact with, no lol.
I have no idea how dogs were created inside so, if the vet says it works I can't argue with that, and can only offer best wishes.
BTW; In humans,I've never heard of just one stone. If one makes a move, there's almost guaranteed to be some more waiting in line. Also not lol. I've passed two now, and there are at least 5 more waiting to mature.
