Anyone out there that knows the a833 like the back of their hand..? I need some help / guidance in getting mine back together.. Nothing major, just replacing the shift rods, new speedo gear, gear housing gasket and replacing the bayonet style assembly to the bolt on. I can pay through PayPal, etc..
I've been looking online and reading the manual, but my confidence in myself doing it is low.. Probably something for someone that KNOWS things the manual or vids don't cover.

I've spoken with Dan...he was very helpful and patient when I was ordering a few things.. but, he's also a very busy man and I felt like I couldn't get off the phone fast enough because of the questions I was asking and could sense he needed to "move on" to other things. The reason I'm willing to pay is because I'm not real knowledgeable with the identification of these parts and can be told to put gadget 1 into gadget 2 and not know what gadget 1 and 2 are..

fyi, i just bought one (to replace the older one i loaned out) and it does not have color pictures. and the pages/paper quality is kinda garbage.

those gripes aside, it's still a great resource to have.

between that, the FSM and the info here as well as asking questions i don't see why all of those issues couldn't be tackled. you're not rebuilding it, that's just some fairly straight forward work.

pro tip: the search function here sucks, use google with "forabodiesonly.com" in the criteria and you should be able to find anything that you need.

Really!? They must be cheaping out on the print. I have the color page version, so if anyone needs help, let me know and I can send pages digitally.

yeah. the whole thing feels cheap AF.

i mean, it's still words printed on pages and it works. but i was less than thrilled.
 
I think Jamies book is now Print on Demand and it may be on thinner paper and may have B and W photos. Darn it.

can confirm.

btw, Tom i had to buy a replacement copy of your book after i *again* stupidly loaned out my copy. the new one is just as high quality as the original and worth every penny.

Thank you. It is still printed as it was in 2017 so if it keeps selling a few more years, it stays this way.
