I've got a 70s W300 with what appears to be a 318 with the industrial or truck heads or whatever you want to call them. It takes the big 18 mm spark plugs. The only casting number I can find ends in 227-1 and I can't find any info on that number. It also has "TRUCK" cast in the head also. Seems it needs valve seals so I was wondering if anybody could give me a part number for the valve seals. Preshate it.

I don't believe the valve seals are any different than the 318-1 heads. IIRC, the 318-3 heads came stock with sodium filled valves and rotators. Those head don't work on a 318-1 engine unless you also use the intake, as the 318-3 uses a water crossover under the carb instead of an exhaust crossover.

My machinist has stated to me that he has drilled and tapped the water crossover for large pipe plugs and milled them smooth in a set of those heads before. I have a set that I may have him do that with, they look like they'd be a good head for running boost on.
