I have 451 with edlbrock victor 440 heads cut out to max wedge ports right now i have an old indy intake singleplane with and adaptor for dominator. I want to get rid of the adaptor I want to know if the eddy victor intake is good or go with another indy. the set up is for drag race only singleplane.

You need to be very sprcific about the rest of the combo, including gearing, compression ration, trans type and convertor... AS specific aas you can... Also, weight, ETs and incrementals.

You are working with a 400 block, correct? Your choices are limited.

Has edelbrock made a 4500 series intake for a 400 based stroker?

As far as I've been able to tell a 400 based Victor with a Dominator flange is not out yet. You'll have to go with the Indy single plane 4500 400-14-3. It is an excellent manifold for high rpm racing. We've used the 400-14-3 to get 787hp @ 7200 rpm from a 451 on 91 octane with Edelbrock Performer RPM 440 heads.

But, consider, many builders have reported better power with a 4150 based manifold and a 4500 adapter to the Dominator carburetor.

sorry edelbrock only makes 4500 series for 440 I guess indy is the only people makes a 4500 for the 400 block and edelbrock victor heads

a change from this and you will slow up.

That is pretty accurate, you will usually be slightly quicker with the 4150 manifold and the dominator adapter because you have better velocity..............
