I inherited some cars this past year,2 with Texas Titles, and 3 from Georgia with no titles, though I do have some other paperwork (Bills of sale, tag applications,etc.).I looked up the Texas form VTR-262 AFFIDAVIT OF HEIRSHIP FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE.My Aunt is the executor of his estate but there was no will.Wondering if anybody in Texas has been in this boat and can give us some tips or insights to make the process of getting all the cars titled a little easier?

Thanks for any info!

Depending upon the age of the Georgia cars, they may not have issued titles. There was a company that some of the members here used to get titles, but I don't remember the name. Hopefully someone will chime in with it. If you are friends with someone with a licensed repair shop, you might be able to get them to get a mechanics, or storage lien on them and acquire titles that way. Just my thoughts, I hope everything works out for you.

Thanks for the replies so far.I got the title bonded on the Duster, with the bill of sale for $125,but it was in my name.Broadway basically buys the car on paper and sells it back to you from what I understand, but this is different dealing with a deceased's estate.I think I have a good idea how to go about it but wanted to talk to someone with experience in this state.
