Just putting out a Public Service Announcement concerning Inline Tube and one of their Parking Brake kits

This is for a 111 inch wheelbase car.

I purchased the kit based upon the following search criteria

1964. Dodge. Dart

The result was the following Parking Brake Kit

BSA 6302

I received the kit and proceeded to install the front and rear cables.

When routing the center, connecting cable, I ended up about 3 inches short of being able to route through the bracket and front cable threaded adjusting rod.

I utilized the Inline Tube online chat function to ask questions about the application. Long story short, I was told that their products did not support a 111 inch wheelbase 1964 Dodge

I then asked what the difference was between the BSA 6302 (Dodge) and the BSA 6301 (Plymouth) products. The answer was that they were in fact the same kit, with the same components.

To be certain before posting this, I called Inline Tube and spoke to customer service. They verified the information I had been told through the online chat. I recommended to them that they needed to change their search function and product offering if they only supported 106 inch wheelbase vehicles (aka, US model Plymouth Valiant). I also recommended that they research the 64 A body models and provide an appropriate length cable (3 to 5 inches longer)

Plan is to cut back the threaded adjusting rod and use a threaded coupler to extend and allow for adjustment.

Be safe out there

Yessir.

Wanted to start here within the community and make sure I wasn't off base. I've had good success with Inlines products thus far on the same vehicle.. Brake and fuel lines.
Those chat functions suck. I'd personally want tech services to explain that nonsense about two different part numbers representing the same part. Unless the same year Plymouth A body is 111'' long which I can't say for sure but I know 2nd gen Barracudas are 108'' and Darts I believe are 111''.

Yes, that's why I made a phone call to follow up and validate the chat.

Yes, on the different wheelbases. I provided them with the technical characteristics of the 64 Dart

So does this mean that the brake lines for a 65 Dart are going to be 3 inches short too? Obviously they know the wheel base is different Dart to Barracuda/Valiant. I think they got caught with their pants down and did not want to own up to it.

OR

They packaged the wrong part in the box and can not believe they made that mistake.

I'm using their brake lines and fuel line and they fit great. Not sure why this is broken
