Does anybody have any experience with the Sherman inner fender patches?
I'm doing a 67 Dart GT restomod, and the car is surprisingly solid. It was undercoated so explains most of but it's rotten in a few places.

Front fenders shot, and the tops of the inner fenders. Rockers have rust, but the quarters and trunk are solid...

Here's the repair panel....

Thanks..

I would avoid buying from them there stuff has never been very good .AMD makes a far better product .Remember there is no savings if you have to spend hours modifiying something to get it to fit right .

Just checked my amd catalog and they list the complete inner fender not a half assed looking patch for $229

Check those upper control arm brackets where they attach to the frame if you haven't already.

I appreciate the opinions, and I understand the "right" way would be to do the whole inner fender, I'm trying to avoid all that work if possible... That's a LOT of lineup and drilled spot welds...
And the splice will look as good as the person doing it...

Just wondering if anybody has any hands on experience..

All you have to do is look at your own picture and you can see the lack of quality , the folds look all wavy like they were done with a mallet , Sherman is known for providing lighter than stock guage panels that aren't bent in the right places and don't fit right ,so even if you cut the part you want off the amd unit and toss the rest you will be ahead of the game . Hey you asked what we thought and we told you , do what you want it's your car .

Actually no, what I asked is if anybody had any experience with these patch panels...

I knew people's opinion was to bash them, and that may be 100% true, but unless somebody has actual experience with them, I take their opinion with a grain of salt...

But thanks anyway...

I guess it never occurred to you that my opinion is based on my experience eh ! Good luck with your Resto and have a nice day .

That's the plan, cut what I need off that repair piece, and splice it in..

I'll probably do it that way regardless, hang the fenders and sort the car, then come back and if I don't like it, replace the whole panel..
