Anybody ever use the front inner fender repair panels from Sherman or one of the other guys?

I have a 67 Dart GT, car was undercoated NY car, surprisingly solid in most places you would expect, trunk, trunk drop off, quarters, frame rails etc, but front fenders, and inner front fenders are shot.

It looks like the salt came up from the tire and in through that splash shield, probably the only place the undercoating didn't go...

Anyway, just wondering if it's worth it, or don't short cut and replace both complete inner fenders...

BTW this will be a restomod 5.7 swap, so authenticity is not a big concern, just cleanliness...

I would say it depends on : time to strip and repair original inner vs. buying the repops and spraying them and moving on. I stripped and restored mine, but at the time the repops weren't available. I got the rust out pretty good, but not 100%. used a chemical inhibitor on the pits that were left. I figure if the rust comes through, I will pull them and replace them at this point. Its your choice, if the cost isn't bad to you, I would pick up the repops. I am unsure how well they fit

Mine were replaced on my car AMD they are great but you woo have to drill some holes to mount some items not all but some.

I put AMD on my duster and they did not fit that great.

I'm sure it will be a bit of work getting the old ones cleaned up, cutting all the spot welds to get the old ones out, and taking care to get everything lined up right is a bit of work too...

My concern was how well the inner repair panels fit and looked after they get spliced in, but then again, I can tig them, and clean up both sides, so might not be so bad..

I'll have to sand blast the area and see what's left before I go one way or the other...

Thanks for the replies...
