I am putting a 340 in a 1973 duster. The motor is out. Is there any relatively easy way to install the headers! have been trying!!!

Which mfnr and type of headers are you using? With the most common full-length sets, the centerlink is going to go through the driver side header (which simply means you are going to do a little disconnecting and reconnecting). After that, I would just lay a blanket over the firewalls and tie the headers up out of the way while you drop the motor back in.

The headers are cyclone. After thought, might just put the cast iron manifolds back on, as car will be driven by my daughter (20). Any idea how much the headers will improve the performance? '73 340 with 587 heads, performer intake, 268* cam. , 650 carb.

The headers will probably be worth 20-25hp with your combo. Like GTX said on the install which really shouldn't be that bad. It's a pain installing headers with the motor already in! :munky2:

If it's just a driver for your daughter I'd go with manifolds as less hassle/maintenance normally with them.
