Installed New Roof Rail Seals

I changed the roof rail seals on my 68 Barracuda notchback to a brand new set from Metro. When the door is closed, I guess the side of the glass near the top edge forms its seal from simply being pressed against this weatherstrip, does that sound about right.
I have to use a little more force to close the doors now because of the new seals.

New seals will tend to make things not fit as well as they should, they usually break in pretty fast though.
