My new valley pan came with 4 gaskets, do I need to use them top and bottom of pan or just use some rtv. The old pan had no gaskets just rtv.

I meant valley pan not windage tray. Can't change title

I think the intent is to sandwich the valley pan with the four gaskets and use RTV on the corners and water ports, but that's JMO...I'm sure someone else will chime with better more concise advice.

What kinda intake cast iron or aluminum? Generally you don't need to use the gaskets on the iron intake, just the pan. The aluminum intakes need the gaskets.

Tried using gaskets on the iron intake but raised the intake to high for the bolt holes to line up. Thanks

I did use a gasket on the head side, just couldn't use gasket on top and bottom. All better now!

Try a gasket on the head side only. That is how mine is currently set up.

Mine wouldn't line up with the gaskets either. I used just the pan with stock heads and an M1 intake.

I have tried it 3 ways, all with an aluminum intake.

    * Gaskets at head, valley tin, gaskets at intake. Port and bolt alignment sucked.
    * NO gasket at head, valley tin, gasket at intake. Port and bolt alignment better.
    * Valley tin only. Port and bolt alignment perfect. NO vacuum leaks.

I'll skip the gaskets from now on.
